A Path Puzzle 2
The illustration shows eight houses and their front doors. The problem is to draw a line from the door of A to the door of another line that joins the doors of B and B', a third line that joins C to C', and a fourth that joins D to D'. No line may cross another line, pass through the sides of a house, or cross the outside rectangular border of the picture. The problem may seem impossible to solve, but it can be done.

Twenty Socks in a Drawer
Soseki's Books
On the shelf stand volumes 1, 2, and 3 of the first edition of Soseki's I Am a Cat. The books have been lying there for a long time, and moths have dug a tunnel from page one of volume 1 to the last page of volume 3. The paper in each volume is 3 centimeters thick and its cover is 1 centimeter (front and back covers are 5 millimeters each). Can you tell how long the tunnel is?
